“A Life in Public Service”
Dame Louise Casey DBE CB’s Trinity Talk, “A Life in Public Service” will reflect on her career in public service within national government, spanning nearly 20 years.
As a British government official working in social care, she will explore her work with social policy, including homelessness, anti-social behaviour and troubled families.
Currently the Director General of the Casey Review Team, at the request of the Prime Minister, Dame Louise is leading a review into opportunity and integration in some of our most isolated communities. Her career began when she worked for the Department of Health and Social Security (DHSS) helping homeless people. Since then she has worked for a number of organisations to tackle anti-social behavior and to help troubled families.
Dame Louise was appointed Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB) in the 2008 Birthday Honours and Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to families and vulnerable people.
An engaging and inspiring speaker, Dame Louise’s talk will be of interest to anyone involved with children, young people and families, social policy, communities and government. Everyone is welcome to attend.
