Golden Days are a series of themed events taking place on campus throughout our 50th Anniversary year. Aimed at staff and students on campus, Golden Days are a chance to take a break from work and celebrate the University’s anniversary with a series of fun events and activities.
Our final Golden Day of the 50th Anniversary year is themed on the 2000s and 2010s. Join us for the following activities:
Retro games consoles
Let’s bring things up to date with consoles from the 2000s right up to the present day. Full details to be confirmed.
00s and 10s quiz
Teams can have a maximum of 5 members and there will be a charge of £1 per team member to enter with all proceeds going to our Inspiring Futures programme. Featuring a picture round, questions about each decade and music intro round, this really is lots of fun!

FREE staff and student raffle
Staff who enter free raffle will be in with a chance of winning a £25 retail voucher for a place of your choice.
Students who enter the free raffle will be in with a chance of winning a bottle of prosecco, catering vouchers, £10 worth of drinks vouchers (for The Lounge) and more.
Return of The Great Trinity Cake Off
Back by popular demand!! Enter your tray bakes, biscuits or cakes into the competition by emailing email@example.com.

The competition is open to all staff and students of the University and is split into three different categories:
- Biscuit – cookie, ginger nut, shortbread, etc.
- Traybake – flapjack, brownie, rocky road, etc.
- Cakes – sponge, pie, cheesecake, etc.
Cakes must be brought to the Atrium for 11.30am and will be judged on their presentation, taste and originality. Be as creative as you like with the decoration – use our 50th Anniversary, your favourite decade, it’s up to you. If you require access to the kitchens on campus, please use the email below to organise this.
All who enter will receive recognition and the winner of each category will receive a trophy. There will also be an overall prize for the best in show.
